Assuming you have given your readers original and quality content, the resource box of your article will give you the opportunity to generate leads, promote your brand, and start to develop trust with your readers. Your resource box also allows you the opportunity to get some link love back to your site for your keywords.

The top article directories will allow you to use html in your resource box. This means that you can hyperlink your keywords and everywhere your article, and hence your resource box with the hyperlinked keywords, are posted there is a keyword that links directly to your site. If you have the chance to do this, by all means take advantage of it. It is very easy to do and doesn’t require extensive knowledge of html.

An important note: Make sure to use your full url (http://www.YOURDOMAIN.com) in case your article is picked up by a publisher that does not allow html. That way, even if your html is stripped out, you will still have your full url in the box.
