Going Mobile With Google AdWords
While the mobile advertising market is still in it’s infancy, it is projected to grow to over $600 million in the next four years.
To help you tap into this expanding market Google has mobile AdWords campaigns that allow you run your ads on their mobile ad network. Google mobile ads allow you to:
- Connect users to your mobile website
- Have users call your business number directly (great if you don’t have a mobile page)
- Only have your ads show during your business hours
- Control what carriers your mobile ads are shown on
If you don’t have a mobile page, Google will allow you to create an AdWords Business Page for free. You can include information such as business address, contact numbers, email address, business hours, and products or services you offer.
The mobile market is growing fast. Some small businesses may want to get in now and take advantage of the opportunity to be one of a few (relatively speaking) advertisers marketing to mobile users while others may wait until the medium is more mainstream. Either way, mobile advertising is definitely something to keep on your radar.
